We would like to say a Very Big Thank you for those who attended our Easter Egg Hunt, you raised an AMAZNG £56.50 for the Playhouse. We will put this fundraising towards Playhouse trips which we are currently planning. Thank you!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we made jam tarts, and we learnt the Queen of Hearts nursery rhyme. For Earth Day we chatted about caring for the environment. We looked at things that make the Earth happy and sad. We also read Pepper Pig Recycling. The mud kitchen has been super busy with many dishes being created. Everyone has been using the mud, herbs, and leaves from around the garden
Forest School – The children loved listening to stories about the planet. We spoke about Earth Day and keeping the planet clean and safe. The children spoke about recycling and making sure we put our rubbish in the bin. The children asked if they could go and make sure there was no rubbish on the ground, so we all went round the garden collecting any rubbish.
We then spoke about what planet earth looks like and painted a round piece of wood to look like our earth. The children enjoyed talking about the blue sea and green land.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We will be creating a large Pirate ship for our role play. Unfortunately, our sunflower seeds didn’t survive the Easter break so we will be starting again; fingers crossed second time lucky!
Reminder: Nut Free Setting – We are a nut free setting. Please can you ensure there are no ‘nut related’ items in packed lunches in case of any nut related allergies e.g. peanut butter. Many thanks.
