Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – All our clubs started back properly this week. We also had lots of construction, games, colouring, and playdough to play with. Loom bands have been requested a lot and the pool table was out all week.
Monday – Craft Club – The children made Hama bead designs and they produced some lovely designs with the different beads and templates.
Tuesday – Science Society – We used flour and plastic toy animals to be investigate how snowshoes work. After placing our animal in the ‘snow’ to see how deep their footprints were, we then added card snowshoes to the feet and placed them in the snow again to see the difference.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – The children watched Finding Nemo, this week whilst enjoying their popcorn. Our animators used dinosaurs to create their films this week.
Thursday – Forest school & Den building – We had planned an afternoon in the garden with a fire. Due to the weather, we stayed inside and made hot chocolate and marshmallow people.
Friday – Baking – Later today we will be we will be making pizza pinwheels using puff pastry and a selection of pizza toppings for the filling.

Next week – Here are some of our planned activities for next week in the OOSC.
Monday – Craft Club – We will be making our own origami bookmarks, like the reindeer one below.
Tuesday – Science Society – We will be making snowmen with bicarbonate of soda and then we will use vinegar to make them ‘melt’.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – The children will be able to decide on their movie and for the resources they would like for their animation.
Thursday – Forest School & Den Building – We will be getting the hammer and nails out and a selection of wood in various sizes to see what we can make. The children can decide what to make.
Friday – Baking – We will be making chunky M&M cookies. The children will be weighing and mixing their ingredients.
