Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter after half term will be ‘z’. Please can your child bring in an item which has a ’z’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is violet (light purple)! Please can your child bring in a violet (light purple) item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we’ve been busy making playdough and a seat using pallets. We’ve also spent a lot of time in the garden landscaping and the children really enjoyed our Stay & Play sessions. For those parents who attended, we hope you enjoyed this time in the Playhouse and thank you for your time!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – It’s St David’s Day so we’ll be making Welsh cakes. Mother’s Day is coming up so we’ll be doing some Mother’s Day activities. Tuesday, it’s our Photo session for the Playhouse children, photo’s will be taken between 1.30pm and 2.45pm, please feel free to bring in any younger siblings.World Book Day is on Thursday and we are going to recreate the story ‘We are going on a Bear Hunt’. We would love your child to dress up as a bear or one of the characters from this story! And we will end the week with a Pyjama day on Friday and your children are welcome to bring in their favourite teddy bear!
Sports Relief – We are going to hold a sponsored dance and cake sale on Wednesday 16th March and we welcome all parents, grandparents and friends to come along at 2.30pm to watch this event and buy cakes which the children will decorate for you! A sponsorship form will be sent home and we would be very grateful if you would sponsor your child for this good cause!
Easter Fayre – this is being held on Saturday 19th March 11.00am – 1.00pm, here at John Clare Primary and the Playhouse. We will issue Sweetie Jars next week, if you could please fill a jar with ‘wrapped’ sweets for this very popular raffle! More news to follow next week.
Phonics Workshops – Tara will be holding two Phonics Workshops; Tuesday 8th March at 9.00am & Friday 11th March at 9.00am, each lasting 45 minutes. Please sign up for these sessions by completing your details on the register in the corridor. We hope you can attend.
Sainsbury’s vouchers – Please can you save any Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers, we are now collecting!
