Dear Parents / Carers

AGMThank you to everyone who attended the AGM. Sylvie Siecker has stepped down as Treasurer and Michelle McCloskey has taken over. Sylvie has been with us for 3 years and did an amazing job as Treasurer, Thank you very much Sylvie’!

Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter next week will be ‘i’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘i’.

Colour of the Week Our next colour is orange! Please can your child bring in an orange item to share with us at Circle time!

Playhouse Activities This week – This week has been a very busy week! J Lo the horse came to visit yesterday. The children fed him treats and brushed him. Thank you very much to Leanne for trotting by on J Lo. We’ve also been for a walk and went to visit the Post office. As we walked down we went on a number hunt as well as spotting house numbers and road signs. As part of our topic this term the children have been looking at healthy foods so we’ve been making lovely ‘yoghurt bars’! The Playhouse was filled with the lovely smell of baking.

Playhouse Activities Next WeekThe children have been playing doctors too so we’ve decided to create a hospital for our role play. We are going to take the children on an Autumn walk to collect the fallen leaves and look at the changes within our environment.

A new Face – Amanda Webb will be spending time with us from next week on a Tuesday and Wednesday as she will be training for her Level 3.

The Playhouse Gate – Please ensure the gate at the entrance to the Playhouse is closed and do not leave this open for other parents, this is to ensure we meet the Governments Safeguarding policies for your children.

A continued plea – Do you have any old telephones, phone books, mugs or clocks for our home corner and playhouse outside? We are also collecting bottle tops for our junk modelling, magazines for cutting up and newspapers for messy play? We need all of these so feel free to bring them in! Thank you.

Kind regards

The Playhouse Team
