Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – We’ve had lots of role play this week with doctors, vets, and hairdressers. Dinosaurs have also been a theme throughout the week. We have had Mother’s Day and St Patrick’s Day colouring sheets for the children to complete and we’ve been outside in the garden when the weather allowed.
Monday – Activity of choice – The children were able to decide on their own activities today.
Tuesday – Gaming & Forest School – First of all we made salt dough; the children then made them into fossils. They added flowers and leaves from the garden and made shapes from different objects, they made shells and dinosaurs.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – We watched the Lego Movie whilst enjoying our popcorn. Our animators used Lego bricks, Lego mini figures and the new app to create a short film.
Thursday – Craft & Gaming –We used PVA glue, contact lens solution and colouring to make our very own slime. The children loved making this, they were very excited.
Friday – Baking – Later today we will be making a rustic soda bread with treacle and honey to celebrate St Patricks Day.

Next Week – Here are some of our planned activities for next week.
Monday – Assortment of activities – Children’s choice of activity.
Tuesday – Gaming & Forest School – We will be making pinecones into owls using cotton wool, twigs and foam shapes.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – The children will be watching The Chronicles of Narnia – The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Our animators will continue how to use the features in the app to improve their films and will use resources from in and around the Playhouse.
Thursday – Craft & Gaming – We will be using cotton buds to paint with.
Friday – Baking – We will be making Baked Cheesy Potato croquettes.
