Dear Parents / Carers
Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘o’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘o’!
Makaton – This is a language using signs and symbols; we are going to learn ‘good morning’:
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week has been a very busy week; we’ve been doing lots of dental work for our topic, we’ve been looking and learning about teeth, we’ve been cleaning teeth and have been doing lots of art work. Amanda has been taking the children out for our Forest school and they have been building animal habitats to keep the animals warm in this cold spell. Lucy brought in her pug, Maisy to help the children understand about caring for pets and being kind. Please can you send in any ‘toothbrush / teeth cleaning’ selfies for our topic board.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we are going to carry on with our ‘teeth’ topic. We will be doing some cooking and we will be learning some new nursery rhymes.
Police Visit – PC Jemma Finch and her colleague will be visiting the Playhouse on 23rd March to tell us how the police keep us safe and to explain to the children what they do!
Paramedic Visit – Chris, a paramedic will be calling into the Playhouse on 14th March 6.30pm – 8.30pm to give parents some first aid coaching. He’ll be covering CPR, choking and burns and will be available to answer any first aid related questions you might have. Numbers are limited and must be booked via the Playhouse. Please can you email Sam to request a space.
Severe Weather – It’s that time of year when there is talk of really cold weather; watch out for our email on Severe Weather just in case we have snow!
Invoices – Please accept our apologies for the delay in invoices; it’s been a busy start to the year. Invoices will be issued next week but if you would like to pay monthly, the first payment will become due on 31st January 2019 .. just so that you can plan your finances!
Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
