Our adventures at the Playhouse this week…
This week we have created Chinese dragons, and it was fantastic to see everyone’s unique dragon. We loved listening to the story of how the years were chosen and how the cheeky rat became the first.
It is super muddy outside, so we have been busy building stepping stones with the hollow blocks. Great teamwork resulted in the creation of some great ideas.
Our Wow Tree …
We have our Wow Tree to celebrate children’s achievements; being kind, helping, and any new achievement they have been working on.
Please ask for some leaves if your child does something amazing at home, bring in and add to our tree. This is a great way to build self-esteem and celebrate achievement. Here are some ideas: putting shoes on independently, using the potty/toilet, helping, doing super listening. It can be anything, these are just some ideas.
Things we will be doing….
We will be making gingerbread men, and we will be reading The Gingerbread man.
Don’t forget World Book Day – Tuesday 5th March.
Fundraising Update
We just wanted to say a HUGE Thank you for all those parents supporting our events … With the Christmas Raffle you raised an AMAZING £579.60 and this was topped up by a further £500.00 from Compare the Market with their Fund Matching scheme.
Your fundraising will be going towards a summer trip for Preschool, and we will be having an external company pop in for a special session with the OOSC. Last year it was Sublime Science!

Fayre – Save the Date
Our Easter Fayre is being held on Saturday 23rd March 11.00am – 1.30pm,
at the Playhouse.

Reminder – Playhouse Opening
Just a reminder we are open for the whole of this term from 1st January through to Thursday 28th March 2024. We are closed for the Easter holidays from Friday 29th April and our Summer Term starts on Monday 15th April 2024.
If you are going away, your child will be absent for any reason or you need an earlier pick up, please don’t forget to let us know. Thank you.
