Dear Parents / Carers

THANK YOU – Thank you to everyone who supported our Bingo Event on Saturday; you helped us raise an AMAZNG £585.29. Thank you!

Feedback- Likes & Dislikes – We would like to make sure that all your children attending Breakfast Club and the Out of school club are enjoying themselves. We have asked for ideas and feedback on their likes and dislikes. The fantastic news is your children are happy and enjoying themselves! Please can we have any further feedback, for example, ‘I would like to do more painting’; I would like to make more slime’; sewing; origami .. please let us know.
Archie thought it would be lovely to have some fidget toys. They have arrived and the children are loving them! Thank you Archie .. a great idea !

OOSC Next Term – Next term our clubs will include Forest school; we’ll be cooking quesadilla’s again on the campfire; making campfire orange cakes.
And of course, we can’t have a campfire without hot chocolate and marshmallows!
In Animation, the children will be able to add more details with our new app. Gaming is very popular, so we have added Tuesday’s and Thursday’s. The children have also been voting for a new game: Minecraft won with 15 votes, followed by Just dance 2023 with 4 votes! Our Cinema Club has received great feedback so we will continue with this. If your child would like to watch any particular movies, please let us know!

This Week – We’ve had a Valentines theme this week making and decorating hearts from salt dough, card, and patterned paper.  We will finish the theme today making and decorating heart shaped biscuits.  The children have also had great fun using the new fidget toys, learning how to make different shapes with the snakes.

Monday – Craft Club – The children made heart shaped salt dough decorations in the morning and painted them in the evening and added glitter.
Tuesday – Science Society – We created exploding snowmen! We put some vinegar in a small plastic bag, we added a pouch filled with bicarbonate of soda before quickly sealing the bag. It was great fun watching the bag expand and then pop, the contents oozed out after a quick chemical reaction.
Wednesday – Movie & Animation – The children watched Encanto and sang along to the film whilst enjoying their popcorn.
For animation, we continued using our new app, we practised using the erase function by removing fingers from our films!! We thought this new function would be good to make things look like they are flying in our future films. Amazing results!
Thursday – Forest school & Den building – We lit the fire and cooked our quesadillas; we started with tortillas and sprinkled cheese on top and then we added tomato sauce. We sat around the fire and ate our delicious snack.
Friday – Baking – Later today we will be we will be making heart shaped biscuits with a message from ‘Love Heart’ sweets for our ‘special person’.
