COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. Thank you for your help!
Sanitiser – With the rise in cases of COVID, we have implemented a new measure. Please can you sanitise your hands before pressing the buzzer at the gate. Thank you .. let’s work together to reduce the risk of infection.
Playhouse Activities This Week – We have made some amazing musical instruments using pasta and rice. The children listened to the sounds and how they were different. The large jigsaws have been very popular with lots of teamwork! To cool down in the sun we did some sewing for a calm activity!
Forest School – In Forest School this week we read That’s When I’m Happy. We talked about all the things, people, places, and times that made or make us happy. The children mentioned baking, playing, toys, friends, pets, ice cream and hugs! One of the children’s favourite activities is using the tea set. This week the children have been making fruit juice/tea. They used different types of cutlery to cut, mash, squash, mush, poke and peel some fruit. They added water to change the colours and smells. Then taking turns to use scissors, they added some cut herbs. After mixing it all together they decided to use their table tools in different ways to stir, scoop and pour. Great playing and great sharing!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will have a mini sports day and we’ll do various activities during the week; egg and spoon, running races, bean bag balancing and ‘dress up’ races. We’ll have lots of waster play to keep us cool.
Sunny Weather – Next week is going to be another hot week … It is essential that your child has a sun hat for preschool and has sun cream applied before they come into the Playhouse to ensure they are safe in the sun. Thank you.
End of Term Party – We will have the option for children to have a tattoo applied during the party, please complete the consent form to confirm your agreement or not to its application. The consent form will be sent home. Fancy dress will be optional too.
NEW: Children Leaving for Primary School – Your child’s Learning journal is now available to download from your Tapestry account. If you have any problems downloading your child’s journal, please get in touch as soon as possible. Your child’s Tapestry will be deactivated in September, so please make sure you download it if you wish to keep it for your memories.
