Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is w’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘w’!

Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve continued with our theme of ‘Under the Sea’, the children are really enjoying this and our activities this week have been based on this theme! We’ve talked about sharks and whales. We’ve also had a talk about Fireman and we’ve been really lucky as we’ve had a fireman’s uniform to try on! We had another visit from Tatty Bumpkin this week and all the children joined in! And finally today, we had our second weekly session in the John Clare School Wildlife area, we had great fun and we also made a fire using our Kelly Kettle!

Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – On Monday we will be talking to the children about Hinduism, as they celebrate Holi, the arrival of Spring! This is also known as the Festival of Colour. Our theme this week will be fish, we’ll take a look at Rainbow fish and all our activities will be ‘fishy’! We also have another visit from Tatty Bumpkin on Monday.

Dates for your diary:
Tuesday 28th March – Leavers photograph, this is for the children leaving us to go to Primary School in September, 1.30pm.
Saturday 1st April is our Easter Fayre at John Clare School.

Easter Fayre – The Eater Fayre is on it’s way… here are a few things you can do to help us make this a great event… We will need cakes on the day if you enjoy baking and we will be sending out jars for our Sweetie Tombola, please can you fill the jar with wrapped sweets! Would you be able to help us by running a stall for 30 minutes, if you can, please speak to a member of the Committee. Thank you.

Congratulations – We would like to pass on our ‘Congratulations’ to Amanda for passing her Level 3! Well done, Amanda!

A final plea – Please be patient at the gate, if we can’t answer straight away there is usually a good reason and we will be with you as soon as we possibly can be. Thank you for your understanding!

A huge ‘Thank you’ We would like to pass on our Thanks to Chantelle Lawson who has kindly agreed to step in as our Treasurer. This is very much appreciated, without your help and support we would not be able to operate, so thank you from us of here at the Playhouse.

Have a lovely weekend!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
