Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the WeekOur chosen letter for our next session will be ‘r’. Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘r’!

Shape of the Week – Our new shape will be a triangle. Please can your child bring in a triangular item to share with us at Circle time!

Playhouse Activities This Week – Children in Need! We’ve taken a look at the story of The Enormous Turnip and we painted our own enormous turnips! We’ve been cutting up lettuce and kale from the garden and the children found caterpillars among the leaves so we went onto read the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We’ve explored colour changing using food colouring and cornflour, the doctor’s kit has been out and we’ve built a den. We’ve had lots of ‘spotty’ activities too. Thank you for all of your donations for Children in Need, you’ve raised £21.25. The children looked great dressed in lots of ‘spots’! The children have been busy making Pudsey biscuits too. A very busy week!

Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next week is Nature week and we will have lots of outdoor activities! We will also start to decorate the Christmas cakes we’ve made.

The Christmas Fayre – Saturday 10th December:  Jars for our Sweetie Raffle have been sent out, thank you for your kind donation of wrapped sweets. Please return any jars and please don’t forget we are collecting for the Tombola and the Christmas Hamper. On the day we would love any cake donations! It’s going to be a busy few weeks!

Do you have ….. Any fairly strong, medium sized square boxes? If you do, we would like to wrap them up for Xmas parcels to sit under our Christmas tree.

Missing t-shirt – Are you missing a t-shirt? We’ve found a preschool t-shirt, please let us know if it belongs to your child. Thank you.

Have a lovely weekend!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
