Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ‘p’. Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘p’!

Colour of the Week – Our next colour is yellow. Please can your child bring in a yellow item to share with us at Circle time!

Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve continued with our Nursery Rhymes, Autumn and Harvest. We’ve been reading the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff! We’ve been vegetable painting and we’ve taken the children on an Autumn Walk in the village.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – We are going to look at the story of the Goldilocks and The Three Bears! We’ll be cooking hedgehogs, not real ones. We’ll be looking at texture and colour changing.

Thank you – Thank you for your very kind donations for the Soup Kitchen. We’ll be delivering these next week.

Library Books – Please can you return any Library books back to Preschool on a regular basis so that the other children can share in these stories!

School Readiness – We have been sent some details from our Early Years Team at Peterborough City Council regarding some work undertaken by Home-Start, the attached link provides a series of activities and ideas for you to support your children being ready for school. Please take a look. http://www.home-start.org.uk/Pages/Category/big-hopes-big-future

Parent Questionnaire – Thank you to all those parents who completed our Parent Questionnaire in June, please find attached our results!

Cooler weather – The cooler weather is here, so just a few reminders… please can you bring in warmer clothes for your child so that they continue to enjoy their time outdoors. If your child suffers a sickness bug, please remember they need to be 48 hours sickness free, before they can return to preschool. Have a lovely weekend!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
