Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘g’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘g’.
Makaton – This is a language using signs and symbols; we are going to learn ‘I love you’
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been practicing blending and rhyming. We’ve been have had lots of running races and spoon races. The chicks have arrived and the children have been able to watch them crack out of their shells. You are more than welcome to pop in and see them. The children will be able to handle them next week. We’ve also held our second Stay & Play session. Today we have held a Helpston World Cup to celebrate the Ladies World up. Flags and banners have been made in the forest school.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we are going to have lots of water play due to the hot weather. Please can you make sure your child has a change of clothes. Thank you. We will be caring for the chicks and we’ll have lots of ‘chick’ craft. We’ll have running races and tennis too.
Reminders only … Dates for your Diary – Here are a few dates for your diary:
18th July 1.00pm – 3.15pm Pre-school Party: If your child is not in on this day you can book your child into the Preschool session or you can come in and stay with your child.
19th July 1.45pm – Leavers Parents Only: You are invited into the Playhouse at 1.45pm.
Why are scissors important? – Scissors are really important to help your child with building their fine motor skills, hand and eye co-ordination and improve focus and attention to name a few .… we’ve attached some more information for you to take a look at .. maybe you’d like to do some scissor work with your child this weekend!!
Safety – Button Batteries – Button batteries can badly hurt or kill a small child within 2 hours. Please read the attached flyer issued with this week’s update.
Summer Weather – We are really hoping that the sun is here to stay …. Please remember the Sun Safe rules!
