Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘e’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘e’!
Here is a really good website which might help with this activity & finding an object: Home-speech-home.com and click on ‘Word lists’, scroll down and click on the letter under ‘Articulation’, find the letter of the week e.g. ‘e’ this week. This information can help with children’s speech & language and their phonics which is good for children who need help with their speech sounds. If your child is not yet able to identify the letter with an object, try this activity: Using the word list, collect several objects with the letter ‘e’, place them in a box and let your child decide on which one to bring in and bring in a different object each session. This might help your child identify the letter with the object more easily.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been talking about India and Diwali. We’ve made Diwali pots, elephants and we’ve learnt all about the Festival of light. We had a visit from the Encore Dance Academy on Thursday. We have also made pizza’s, this was great fun! The children loved the sticky dough and some tried to flip them! We also made salt dough nature shapes.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week is all about Children In Need. We will have a pyjama day on Friday but, your child is more than welcome to dress up in their ‘pudsey’ bits and pieces any day next week. Donations, would be great and we will send all the proceeds to Children in Need. Next week is also Road Safety week, we are going to encourage drivers to slow down in the village and the children are going to make signs for this event. A photographer from the Peterborough Evening Telegraph should be supporting us too.
Xmas Gifts – For those parents who have placed an order … your orders have been placed and are expected to arrive in approximately two weeks.

Donations – We would be very grateful if you would kindly donate a bought cake or mince pies so that we can make a Xmas Hamper for the Wreath Making Event. Tickets will be on sale on 7th December and all monies raised are for the Playhouse. If you would like to come to this event, there are a few tickets left.
