This term, the children have loved spending more time outdoors and making the most of the lovely weather! They have been playing football and cricket, riding scooters, building dens, shooting hoops, playing hide and seek, and enjoying lots of other exciting games and activities with their friends.

Cookery Club Fun

In Cookery Club, the children have been very busy creating lots of tasty treats! They enjoyed kneading and shaping bread into adorable mini hedgehog rolls, making delicious milkshakes , and decorating biscuits to look like colourful ladybirds. They also made their own apple pops by dipping apples into melted chocolate and adding sprinkles.

The children have also made yummy cornflake cakes and took part in a fruit tasting session where they tried a variety of fruits including papaya, passion fruit, melon, and pineapple. It was wonderful to see so many children trying new foods!

Science Experiments

The children have had great fun exploring science through exciting experiments! They watched colours disperse in milk by adding fairy liquid to the end of a cotton bud, discovered how to retrieve an orange from the bottom of a large container of water without spilling any, and enjoyed making slime and cloud dough.

Arts & Crafts

In Arts and Crafts, the children have been wonderfully creative! They have decorated wooden pegs, made colourful pom poms, created their own worm sticks, and decorated wooden hearts.

Some of the children also took part in a fun creative challenge where they were asked to make their own picture using just two eyes. It was amazing to see all the imaginative and unique creations they came up with! We hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing Half term!

Warm wishes,
Playhouse Team
