Reminder: Warmer Weather
& Being Sun Safe – Please could you bring in a named sun cream that can be left
at the Playhouse for your child. Sun cream needs UVA & UVB protection. It
is essential that sun cream is applied by you in the morning, and we will
re-apply at lunchtime. Please can you also provide a named sun hat. Thank you.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have enjoyed lots of outdoor play; we had a great time with water play, the children desperately wanted to ride on the bikes and trikes, and the large tractor and bike has been especially popular! The children have been practicing some fantastic turn taking skills, they have been using the timer and swapping over, they have shown really good teamwork and sharing!
We enjoyed playing hair dressers and the children loved doing one another’s hair with a range of tools such as a hair brush, hair dryer and straighteners. Florence especially enjoyed doing Yvonne’s hair….it was fabulous!
Forest School – In Forest school this week we have been looking at different objects that are on the ground. The children all went on a hunt around the garden and collected objects that they could use to paint with! The children found sticks, leaves, conkers, pieces of wood, flowers, and even pinecones. The children used the objects they had found to make different marks with them in paint. They also enjoyed mixing the different coloured paints together. There were some lovely different patterns.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We will be reading the story of George the Sun Safe Superstar! We will be thinking of ways we can look after ourselves in the heat! We will be thinking about water safety… which is also very important around this time of year and being safe in water too! We will be thinking of who can help us, such as lifeguards! The children have been interested in lots of role play this week, especially wanting to sell ice creams, so next week we will set up our own shop and ice cream parlour!
Reminder: Holiday Plans & Change in Circumstances – Please remember to let us know if you are planning a holiday or just going away for a few days or if there are any changes to your family circumstances. This is to ensure that we can care for your child’s wellbeing and offer any support they need.

Wednesday 19th July – 1.00 – 3.00pm – End of Term Party. Invites will be sent out after half term but if you would like to book your child in for the afternoon session, please drop us an email.
Reminder: Nut Free Setting – We are a nut free setting. Please can you ensure there are no ‘nut related’ items in packed lunches in case of any nut related allergies e.g. peanut butter. Many thanks.
