Playhouse Activities This Week – ‘Wow’ .. the weather has been very changeable. We absolutely loved the snow and played in it at every opportunity. We suited up in our snow suits and had great fun. Lots of snowball fights!!
The children created some fantastic shapes and patterns on the geoboards. The Playhouse has been smelling like a bakery. The biscuits have been very tasty, and the children have enjoyed making them. We fed the birds using our new bird feeders, making sure they have something to eat in the cold.
Forest School – We enjoyed having a fire in forest school. The children really enjoyed going on a “stick hunt” around the garden, they found many great sticks of different shapes and sizes! The children then added their own stick onto the fire . We enjoyed a lovely story of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt around the fire, with a yummy biscuit and hot chocolate. The children were all brilliant following the safety rules and told us why we need to be careful! We spoke about who we would need to call if there was a fire . Due to the weather, we were only able to have one fire this week, so we will look forward to doing this again next week.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will carry on baking biscuits to ensure that all the children have had the opportunity to bake. We will continue to have our fire and we will be making popcorn. It’s Red Nose Day on Friday, wear something red and please donate £1.00 for this great charity.
