Committee – Playhouse Christmas Raffle – We would like to invite you to take part in our Christmas Raffle, with all proceeds going to the Playhouse. Playhouse Activities This Week – We have a new outdoor puppet show, it’s a fantastic addition to our resources. There have been lots of shows already using the new puppets. In Roarstars this week, there was a circus theme with the children balancing, tight rope walking and balancing bean bags on their heads. The children also had a cones race with all teams working together. Great fun! Chasing games have been popular, with lots of running around the garden. Cheese straws have made the Playhouse smell beautiful and we will carry this on next week.
Forest School – In Forest School we read Christmas with You and we talked about this Christmassy time of year. The children told me about trees and advent calendars. We went on a hunt around the garden, we cut foliage and then we found three sticks to tie together in a triangle. The children weaved and tied on leaves, rosemary, and lavender. Then used bright ribbon to add sparkle. We counted, compared size and shapes. We practiced our Christmas songs too. How exciting!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will have a Christmas theme, we are loving the Christmas tops and jumpers! There was so much interest in the big Christmas tree we decided to have a Christmas tree the children can decorate and change to their very own design.
Christmas Church Service – Our Christmas Church Service is being held on Friday 9th December at St Botolph’s at 1.45pm. Please can you let us know if you and any family members will be joining us, Reverend Gary would just like an idea of numbers. Thank you.
