COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. We are seeing coughs and colds turning positive COVID too; if your child is unwell or showing any signs of a new cough or cold, please be mindful that it could be COVID, test if you wish and keep them at home. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – The children have noticed that some of the larvae have changed to the pupa stage in the garden, part of the ladybird lifecycle. The children have cut out an assortment of sea creatures this week, we then created our own sea scene by sticking them onto our sea display. Please pop in to see our creations. The hollow blocks have been very popular; the children built a massive cage!
Forest School – In Forest School this week we read Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We’ve been talking about size, numbers, and textures. The children collected herbs and cut them to put into their porridge mixture. We talked about scissor safety. The children used their senses to smell the herbs and then used stones to squish the juice out. They each decided who their porridge was made for.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be creating salt dough starfish and we will be learning about the turtle lifecycle.
Sunflowers – How are your Sunflowers growing? Please send in some photos, the children would love to see them.
End of Term Party – Our End of Term Party is being held on Friday 22nd July 2022, from 12.00pm; we will be having a lunchtime picnic and games in the garden. There will be no hot lunches or packed lunches on this day … we will be asking for you to provide some party food and we will be in touch nearer the time. For our Leavers Parents, please can you join us at 1.45pm for some cake and to say our farewells. If your child is not normally in on a Friday afternoon, we would love them to join us for the party, please contact Sam to book your child’s afternoon session by Monday 20th June 2022.
Extra Sessions – If there is a possibility that you will need any extra sessions for your child this term, please can you contact Sam by Monday 20th June 2022 to check availability. Many thanks.
Reminder: Sun Cream & Sun Hat – Please can you apply sunscreen to your child in the morning before Preschool. We will apply sun cream after lunch. Please can you also bring in a sun hat. Thank you.
Reminder: Change in Circumstances – If any of your personal or family circumstances change, please don’t hesitate to let us know so that we can help and support your child.
Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.
Hot Lunches – From September we will be improving the process to book hot lunches for your child. Once booked, we will continue to book a hot lunch for your child unless you cancel your booking. This means that we will not ask you to confirm hot lunches at the beginning of each term.
