Playhouse Activities This Week
This week we have planted some of our sunflowers in the forest school. We have been talking about why we brush our teeth and we practised on the large tooth model. The birds have been fed and have been popping into the Playhouse for snacks. Woodwork has been very popular this week with large queues. We have also created some fantastic rockets.

Forest School – In Forest School we talked about all the bugs that we have looked at. We talked about what makes them different, comparing colours, size and how they move. We used words like wriggle, slither, bounce, jump, crawl, and fly. We made our own bugs using cones and pipe cleaners and then we tested to see how fast or slow they went down the pipes.

Playhouse Activities Next Session – After Half term we will continue to enjoy the sunshine, we will be camping and doing more woodwork. We will also enjoy a Teddies Bear picnic.

Monthly Makaton Sign – June’s Makaton sign which we are going to learn is ‘no/stop’. Please have a go at home, remember to sign and say the word together. Go slow and show.

Literacy packs – We have been handing out Literacy packs this week. Please don’t worry of you have not yet received one we have some still waiting to be issued.

Hot Lunches – It will be Week 1 when we return from Half Term, if your child normally has a hot lunch, please remember to bring a packed lunch on Tuesday.

Any help? – Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any support, ideas or just a chat we are always available.

School Ready – It won’t be long until September is upon us, please remember to help your child to be ‘school ready’. Please go to: www.peterborough.gov.uk/START

Change of circumstances & collection – Just a reminder, if you need to change your arrangements for pick up, please can you give us as much notice as possible. Last minute notifications won’t be picked up on email so please give us a call as this is a really busy time for us.  Many thanks.

Thank you – A big Thank you this week to Niki and the Slater family for their kind donation.

Have a lovely half term and we will see you on Monday 7th June 2021! Stay safe and well!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
