Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘m’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘m’.
Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘dog’.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we went into the garden observing the changes that have happened on the trees. We’ve been picking up leaves and have been looking at the beautiful colours and shapes. We also talked about feelings and how to be a good friend!
Buddies – To ensure we are meeting your child’s needs we have introduced a Buddy system to work with your child’s keyworker. If your child’s keyworker is not in their buddy will ensure your child is getting the most out of their day. We will inform you and write it on their Communication book. We want to ensure that they feel safe and secure.
Forest School This Week – This week we have talked about hibernation and the plants, insects and animals that sleep for the winter. We went on a bug hunt and then made cosy homes for our own cuddly hibernating animals.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we be sewing. We will also look at physical development; we will learn about why sleep is so important to us. We will also pop down to the shop in Helpston to build the children’s everyday language related to money. We will also start our Christmas crafts!
Items into Preschool – Just a gentle reminder … Please can you name everything that your child brings into preschool, from clothes to water bottles, pack lunch bags and toys. Many thanks as this will help us to return all items to their family! Thank you.
Timmy – We would also like to introduce ‘Timmy’ … he is our worry puppet and helps us to talk about our feelings. Please ensure you keep us up to date with any important information to ensure we are meeting your child’s well-being. Even the smallest thing can have a massive impact on your child.
Playhouse Xmas Book Party – Please don’t forget to take a look at our online party – there are some great Christmas offers. Sickness Bug – Please be aware there is a sickness bug around, please take care. If your child is sick, they can return to the Playhouse 48 hours after the last bout of sickness.
Date for your Diary – We will be holding a fundraising Quiz Night on 8th February 2020, more details will follow.
