Playhouse Activities This
Week – This week has been super-hot, so we
have tried to stay cool as much as possible. There have been parasols placed
around to give us more shade to protect the children.
There has been loads of water play with Jug, funnels, and sea animals. The children loved playing with the cloud dough which is so soft and also smells amazing.
The ice-cream parlour has been very popular as you can probably imagine. Some very strange ice-cream ideas but great fun.
We have read the sun safe superstar, learning about the importance of protecting ourselves in the sun.

before you come into pre-school and its essential to
supply a hat. Thank you.
Forest School – In Forest school this week we had a mud cake
bakery. The children foraged in the garden for ingredients of mud, sand,
stones, and herbs and put them in their bowls. They then added water
to their bowls using trial and error to get their mixture to the right
consistency before putting it into the cup cases. The children put a
flower on top to decorate and then put them on top of the fire pit so they
could bake in the sunshine.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We will carry on with the Ice-cream parlour and we will pretend we are at the beach, going on holiday.
Dates for your Diary – Here are details of key dates for your diary:
Saturday 17th June – Helpstonbury.
Wednesday 19th July – 1.00 – 3.00pm – End of Term Party. Invites will be sent out after half term but if you would like to book your child in for the afternoon session, please drop us an email. We will also be celebrating the children leaving us.
Reminder: Nut Free Setting – We are a nut free setting. Please can you ensure there are no ‘nut related’ items in packed lunches in case of any nut related allergies e.g. peanut butter. Many thanks.
