Dear Parents / Carers
Easter Egg Hunt – On 31st March 2023 from 10.00am – 11.00am please join us at the Playhouse for an Easter celebration! For your children we will be Easter Wreath making and we will have an Easter Egg Hunt … it’s £2.00 per child to join in (if your child does not normally attend Preschool on this day). This celebration is open to all children, not just those attending Preschool. We will have tea, coffee, and cakes so please come along and feel free to invite grandparents and friends too!
Please can you let us know by email if you can attend so that we have an idea of numbers. Thank you.
Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve had a very busy week making biscuits and in Forest School we had a fire ! As an extra treat, the children enjoyed hot chocolate and a biscuit. Some of the children have been rein acting Harry Potter and have been flying around the Playhouse on their broomsticks! It’s Red Nose Day today and it was lovely to see lots of red .. thank you to everyone who donated to this great charity!
Forest School – In Forest school this
week we have been planting sunflower seeds. The children have been talking
about how we care for them, and what they need. We read the “A Seed in Need”
story and found out that the sunflowers need warmth and regular watering. The
children took it in turns to put some soil in a pot then each planted two
seeds. They then covered the seeds with the soil and added some water using the
watering can.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be looking at the life cycle of a frog. We will be feeding the birds and making our own feeders. We will also have a shape hunt around the garden.
Library Books – Just a reminder to return our library books so that your child can exchange it for a new one! Thank you.
Playhouse Clothes – If you have any Playhouse clothes that we have lent you, please can you return them as soon as you can. Many thanks.
