Playhouse Activities This Week – What a wonderful week. The Christmas carols at the church last Friday was an amazing experience. The children dressed up in Nativity outfits while learning about Baby Jesus. We sang Away in a Manger and Twinkle Twinkle Christmas Star. Thank you to everyone who joined us.
On Tuesday we held our Christmas Carols, we sang over 9 songs .. WOW! It was amazing, the children performed their hearts out. It was just perfect. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us.
Jack Frost has visited, and it has been extremely cold. The children have crunched on the frozen leaves and made footprints in the snow. We went outside as soon as the snow came, we didn’t want to waste the opportunity J. We have created Menorah and learnt about why the candles are lit for Hanukkah.
Forest School – In Forest School we read Is It Christmas Yet? And we talked about all the lovely things we do and eat. Everyone talked about their Christmas tree too. They each chose a wooden disc, sparkly pipe cleaner and bell to make a Christmas decoration. The children threaded, cut, and tied their pieces together. It would be lovely to see where you hang them. Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will carry on our salt dough decorations. We will be making Reindeer dust which is eco-friendly and safe for the wildlife. We will be having lots of Christmas celebrations.
Reports – Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you would like to arrange a meeting regarding your child’s Autumn Report.
Staff – We are sad to announce that Amanda has decided to leave the Playhouse for personal reasons. Amanda would like to spend more time with her family. We will miss her and wish her all the very best in any future endeavours.
Thank You – We have a few Thank you’s to share with you; Thank to everyone who supported Children in Need, you raised £11.22. Thank you to everyone who made a donation on Tuesday at our Christmas Carols event, you raised £14.70. And finally, a Huge thank you to Nancy; until COVID hit, Nancy would volunteer at the Playhouse, and she has raised an AMAZING £160.00 for the Preschool children.
Term Dates – Just a reminder that we finish on Wednesday 21st December and re-open on Thursday 5th January 2023.
