This Week’s Highlights
Our highlight of the week was our fantastic trip to the zoo!
The children absolutely loved seeing so many amazing animals up close. We were all very surprised by the noise the lemurs made when they were arguing with each other – it seems even lemurs can get a little grumpy sometimes!
The children were fascinated by all the different animals and had a wonderful day exploring, discovering and learning about the world around them.
We also enjoyed a lovely Movement and Dance session. The children:
Learned a dance to music from The Lion King
Played a variety of movement games
Worked together to create their own dance routine to Under the Sea
It was wonderful to see their creativity, confidence and enthusiasm shine through.
Keeping Cool in the Warm Weather
With the hot weather, we have been finding lots of ways to keep cool, including water play activities and spending plenty of time in the shade.
A Gentle Reminder
Please could you:
Apply sun cream to your child before they arrive each morning.
We will reapply sun cream during the afternoon as needed.
Ensure your child brings a named sun hat every day.
Ensure your child brings a named drinks bottle every day so they can stay protected and hydrated.

Looking Ahead to Next Week
Next week we will be reading The Little Red Hen and exploring the story through a range of exciting activities.
The children will also have the opportunity to make their own bread, helping them learn about the journey from grain to loaf while developing their:
- Mixing skills / Kneading skills / Baking skills
