PRESCHOOL NEWSLETTER – 15th June 2026

What a wonderful week of learning, creativity, and discovery we have had!

Nature Art Creations
The children enjoyed creating beautiful nature pictures using flowers, leaves, and herbs collected from our garden. They carefully arranged their natural treasures to make unique collages, exploring colours, textures, and patterns found in nature.

A Garden Discovery!
We were excited to find our very first larva and pupa in the garden! The children have been fascinated by observing them closely and are eagerly waiting to see them transform into a ladybird. This has sparked lots of conversations about life cycles and the amazing changes that happen in nature.

Busy Bees in the Garden
Our garden is bursting with colour, and we have spent time watching the bees pollinate the poppy flowers. The children have loved learning about how bees help plants grow and why they are so important to our environment.

Looking Ahead to Next Week

Environmental Shape Hunts
We will be exploring our surroundings to find shapes in nature and the environment, helping to develop the children’s observation and mathematical skills.

Den Building Adventures
The children will be working together to create dens in the garden, encouraging teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and imaginative play.

Zoo Trip on Tuesday Reminder – We are very excited for our zoo visit!

Please ensure your child brings:
A raincoat                                                            Comfortable trainers
A named packed lunch                                    A named drink bottle

Makaton – Our Makaton sign of the week will be‘to sit down’

Sound of the Week – Ee
We would love your help with our Sound of the Week Show and Tell!

Become a Phonic Sound Detective at home with your child. Together, go on a sound hunt around your house and see if you can find an object that begins with our sound of the week, and bring it in to share.

Thank you for your continued support. We hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Warm wishes,
The Preschool Team
