Dear Parents / Carers
Playhouse Activities This
Week – This week we have been learning about
animals that live under the sea and the different oceans there are around the
world. The children have been creating a large Octopus and made paper chains
for the legs. On our display we have made some fish and starfish so far, please
keep an eye out for all the amazing things we will be making.
We have all been working as a team,
cleaning our garden, sweeping, and saving worms to put in our compost bin.
The beautiful sunshine has brought some lovely ladybirds into our garden, so we
have been looking at the lovely colours and counting the numbers of spots. We
also made sure that we were caring for them and being gentle.
We have been talking about how to care for our teeth and practiced cleaning them on our large model.
Forest School – In Forest school this week the children have been learning all about hedgehogs. We spoke about how hedgehogs come out at night time for food, which means they are nocturnal. The children were super excited to make their own little hedgehog to take home. They all went around the garden finding small sticks they could use for the prickles as well as finding different things for the eyes. Some children found cherries, shells, and even small stones for the eyes. They all made some amazing hedgehogs!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – We are so excited about our visit to the Zoo; we will be looking at all the different animals and learning about where they live. Please ensure you read the email about our visit on Tuesday.
Transition report – For those children that are moving up to school in September; Your child’s Transition Report is now ready to read on Tapestry. Please open via a laptop as we’ve found that the report might not be fully visible on a phone or mobile device.
