Helpston Playhouse – Weekly Update 5th May 2023

Dear Parents / Carers

Playhouse Activities This Week – We have been learning about King Charles and reading about the Coronation. The garden is flourishing, and we have planted tomatoes and pumpkins this week.  Union jack’s and swirling pom poms are ready for our picnic.  The reception teacher from John Clare popped in with their caterpillars for us to have a look at.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – We will be thinking about people who help us.

Helpstonbury – Helpston are holding our very own ‘festival in a day’ – Helpstonbury is being held on Saturday 17th June from 2.00pm til  Late on the John Clare School field. We need your help – The Playhouse will receive a share of the profits, but we need volunteers to help on the day. Can you spare us 30 mins, an hour?? If you can, please can you sign up on our volunteer sheet. We also need items for the Tombola; items for children and/or adults would be great. Please drop off any donations at the Playhouse. Many thanks, we really appreciate any help you can give.

Dates for your Diary – Here are details of key dates for your diary:
Thursday 18th May – Ark Farm visit to the Playhouse.
Saturday 17th June – Helpstonbury.

Reminder: Nut Free Setting –
We are a nut free setting. Please can you ensure there are no ‘nut related’ items in packed lunches in case of any nut related allergies e.g. peanut butter. Many thanks.

Reminder: Holiday Plans – If you are planning a holiday or just going away for a few days, please can you let us know. Many thanks.
Reminder: Change in Circumstances – If any of your personal or family circumstances change, please don’t hesitate to let us know so that we can help and support your child.

Any help? – Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
