Playhouse Activities This Week – This week the children have been really interested in pirates! We have created some amazing pirate ships outside, see the lovely photo’s below.! The children really enjoyed playing imaginatively, going on voyages to conquer sea creatures and pirates! They used the hollow blocks to build a tall ship, the flag was up to warn the other pirates of their whereabouts!
We have also been looking at caterpillars and butterflies this week, learning all about this lifecycle, the children made some lovely caterpillars and butterflies for our display board.

Forest School – In Forest school this week we also looked at the life cycle of the caterpillar and read The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The children then used pebbles, corks, and brushes to dip into paint and create their own hungry caterpillar.  The children also had fun making a big hungry caterpillar by painting a large piece of wood for the forest school area.
