Dear Parents / Carers

COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. Thank you for your help!

Sanitiser – Please can you sanitise your hands before pressing the buzzer at the gate as we head into the colder weather. Thank you .. let’s work together to reduce the risk of infection.

Committee Roles – Thank you for your interest in our Chair & Treasurer positions, we are pleased to confirm these have now been filled. Thank you.

Playhouse Activities This Week – We managed to venture out on our walk on Tuesday. The children practised crossing the road, they were fantastic, lots of looking and listening. There were plenty of conkers and acorns for us to collect.
On Wednesday we created some clay hedgehogs. The children used lots of descriptive words to describe their prickles.

Forest School – In Forest School read A mouse so small. We talked about hibernation and all the creatures that have a big winter sleep. We went on a bug hunt so see how cosy the insects live. Then created cosy places for insects and animals to hibernate in. The children used bark, leaves, and sticks to support their hides. We looked at autumnal colours and matched them to some colour charts. Great hunting, creating, and matching.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be looking at senses, smells, and touch. Due to half term, we are going to celebrate Diwali early and we will be doing activities to look at the different culture and we’ll be learning about this fantastic festival of light. Just a reminder that we will finish our week early on Thursday due to the John Clare Primary school Staff Training Day, we will reopen on Monday 31st October 2022.

Monday 31st October – We will have a Halloween day; we will have lots of spooky fun. Fancy dress is optional.
