Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘i’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘i’.
Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘dinosaur’.
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have made jam tarts for our association with circles. We have created bunting for our triangles! We had a visit from Richard of Tiny Tykes .. this was a great session. Richard covers sports which crosses all over the curriculum and delivers his preschool sessions through a themed story .. this week the children went to space. If you would like to see more of what Richard does you can find him on Facebook: Tiny Tykes Peterborough. We also had a puppet show of Jack & the Beanstalk and have been building Tower Bridge.
Forest School This Week – Today we read ‘Walters Wonderful Web’. We looked at different shapes and have made triangle bunting and by hammering flowers, leaves and blackberries we made natural prints. We then created Walters web using sticks, cones & conkers. We then tested the wind by blowing bubbles.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will be making crowns for our triangle association and mobile phones for rectangles and squares. We will be making bread rolls and will look at the Goldie locks story as a puppet show.
Invoices Autumn Term – Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay of your Autumn term invoices, it’s been a very busy start to this term! Invoices are still being issued. First instalments will be due on 30th September (Monday).
No Cash – Just a reminder that if you are paying for items for the Playhouse, please make your payments by BACS as we are no longer accepting cash. Thank you for your help!
Thank you – St Botolphs Church have kindly donated £540.13 to the Playhouse as proceeds from the Helpston Gala. Thank you to all of you who supported the gala this year and the church for this fantastic donation.
