Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘b’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘b’!

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been celebrating Chinese New Year, and Year of the Dog. We’ll have a look at dragons and we’ll do some dragon dancing and we’ll also have a look at Chinese culture.

Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next term we are going to plant daffodils, we are having visits from Key Sports, see below. We are introducing Amanda’s movements on a Wednesday; comfy clothes would be good..tracksuit bottoms or leggings! We will also create a womery.

Helpston’s Got Talent – This event raised an amazing £774 for the Playhouse and we will use these funds to for Happy Chicks and …. For the Preschool and the Out of School Club. On behalf of all children, we would like to thank the Committee for their tireless work in arranging this event, those brave enough to perform and of course, those of you that attended the event. You’ve raised a huge amount of money for the children. Without the support of the committee and parents we would not be able to purchase some amazing resources the children love.

Key Sports & Coaching – Next term we will be carrying out sessions with Key Sports & Coaching, they are professional sports coaches specialising in providing mini-sports games and activities to Preschool and nursery children, they are passionate about sports and are all DBS checked with Safeguarding Children & Emergency First Aid. Key Sports will introduce a wide range of games & activities to support EYFS goals. Children will develop hand and eye c-ordination, balance, agility and most of all have fun.

School ready workshops – Thank you for your responses so far! Just to confirm these sessions are for parents only.

Coming Soon – Our Easter Fayre – Our next event is the Easter Fayre, can you help? We would love any help you can give from baking, running a stall to providing prizes for the Raffle. This is a great family event… more news to follow.

Conjunctivitis – there have been a few children in the Playhouse with conjunctivitis; this is contagious. Please ensure you follow any NHS / doctor recommendations.

Have a lovely half term and we open again on Monday 19th February.

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
