Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘k’!  Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘k’!

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have made pumpkins, we’ve cut them out and have kept the seeds for planting next year. We’ve had lots of fun creating spider webs by weaving them with wool. We’ve all really enjoyed our new mud kitchen and today we’ve had a fire in the nature area, we talked about fire safety and had our snack down there too!

Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next week we’ll continue to have our activities based on the Spindrella and Stick man books. On Monday we’ll have some bonfire activities. On Friday we’ll make stick crowns whilst in the nature area.

The Poppy Appeal – John Clare Primary are supporting the Poppy Appeal! If you would like to pop into Reception you can donate to this charity; they have wristbands, reflectors, friendship bracelets and snap bands available. Please see the flyer issued with this update.

The Playhouse Book Party Tammy has launched some new book offers for us this week. These will be available until 10th December. An email will be on it’s way shortly for our new Xmas Book Party.

Spotacular Week in the Playhouse – This year Children in Need is 17th November & we will have a week of spotty activities from the 13th – 17th November … not all of the children are in the Playhouse on a Friday so we’ll have a spotacular week. Your child can dress in something spotty on any day this week but please bring in £1.00 for this great charity, we hope everyone can join in.

Road Safety Week – 20th to 26th November Road safety week is coming up and we’ll be having a week of Road Safety activities.

Thank you – Another Big Thank you to Dan, Cosima’s dad, for all his hard work building our new mud Kitchen, it is fantastic! The children have had great fun playing with it this week.

We hope you all have a lovely half term!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
