Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘e’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘e’!

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we continued with our Bug and summer theme. We looked at all things summery! We made ladybird biscuits and took part in lots of maths activities. We also had a practice for Sports Day and played ‘turn-taking’ games. We have also found ladybird larvae and some have changed into pupae already, next week we are hoping to have adult ladybirds!

Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next week we have Sports Day on Tuesday and the children are really looking forward to this activity! We will continue to monitor our ladybirds. We will take a look at caterpillars and will have lots of caterpillar activities. Mrs Bacon, from John Clare will be coming in to read a story.

Ladies Afternoon Tea Party – If you would like to attend, please confirm by Tuesday 20th June, tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

Can you help? – On Sports Day we would love you to stay for coffee and a cake! If you enjoy baking (or buying), we would love to have some cake donations to celebrate this event! We would also like to have a tombola to raise a bit of extra money for the Playhouse … do you have anything you could donate?

We hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
