Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ‘e’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘e’!
Shape of the Week – Our new shape will be a square. Please can your child bring in a square item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve taken a look at the story of The Little Red Hen and we’ve been sharing this with your children. We also had great fun celebrating Halloween on Monday, we saw some fantastic outfits, really scary ones too! We’ve been preparing for Christmas and the children have been designing some great bags, their artwork is amazing, please see below for further details on our Christmas fundraising activities! We’ve also made some fantastic firework pictures!
Playhouse Activities Next Sessions – Next week is Messy Play Week! We will take a look at the story of The Magic Porridge. We will have lots of messy activities, like muddy faces and foot printing. Please be prepared for next week’s washing!
Upcoming Events: 18th November – Children in Need; 21st – 28th November – Nature Week, with lots of outdoor activities
Christmas Fundraising – Bags – This year we have decided to take part in additional fundraising with personalised shopping bags, these have been designed by your children so will make great Xmas gifts for friends and family. The bags come in two sizes and we have examples in the Playhouse, they will be £6.00 & £7.00 each. If any friends and family would like a go, please let us know and you can take away extra templates, we will then submit these with our order! We must have all orders in by Friday 11th November 2016.
Upcoming Committee Events – The Christmas Fayre is being held on Saturday 10th December. We will soon be sending home jars for our Sweetie Raffle, please can you fill one of these with wrapped sweets. We will also hold a Tombola and will have a Christmas Hamper and would welcome any donations to support the Committee in this event.
