Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ’i’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’i’!
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is green! Please can your child bring in a green item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week has been a very busy week in the Playhouse, we’ve been doing lots of sports activities and held our Sports Day on Thursday! We did some baking.
Playhouse Activities Next Session – With our visit to Fineshade woods coming up we are going to start the ‘Stick Man’ story. We are also going to make our own musical instruments. On Tuesday our Rising Fives who will be attending John Clare School, will be visiting Mrs Bacon and the Buttercross classroom for an informal visit. Mrs Bacon is going to read them a story. We are also sending home ‘Tips for Parents’, these are some ideas on how to make sure your child is ‘ready for school’. The main one for Mrs Bacon is to help your child to be independent.
Rising 5’s Photo’s – Please return your orders for the Rising 5’s photographs by Wednesday next week! Thank you.
Sweetie Raffle – The jars for the Sweetie Raffle for the John Clare School Fete School Fete will be sent home next week, please can you fill the jar with wrapped sweets. This is a very popular stall at the fete! This event also raises money for the Playhouse!
Trip to Fineshade Woods – Please can you return your Reply slips by Wednesday 6th July. Thank you.
Committee News – Wednesday 6th July – Playhouse AGM, this is being held at The Golden Pheasant at Etton at 7.30pm.
Staff News – Tara has decided to leave the Playhouse and we wish her all the very best for her future.
Thank you – A very big ‘Thank you’ to all of you who attended our Sports Day, and ‘Thank you’ so much for all the wonderful cakes and raffle donations. We had a brilliant time and hope you did too!
