Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ’f’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’f’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is pink! Please can your child bring in a pink item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we’ve had lots of fun making flapjacks, these looked delicious! We have also made a collage to show our Colours of the week! We’ve taken a look at the life cycle of small animals e.g. caterpillar and have continued with our Road Safety theme. We have also undertaken some work on number recognition.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we’ll celebrate Beltane, the Celtic / Gaelic fire festival which celebrates the end of the spring and the beginning of summer. We are going to attempt to make edible maypoles, make masks for the May Queen and Green Man. We’ll also take a walk in the woods to see the stunning bluebells and we’ll have a go at sewing.
Parking at John Clare Primary – Complaint Received – We have today received a complaint from John Clare Primary concerning parking within the school car park. With immediate effect, please ensure that you do not park in this car park. These restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of the children coming in and out of school and to ensure that wherever possible, staff can park within the school grounds and not impact on the surrounding residents by parking all day outside local homes.
Reminder – Mobile Phones – The use of Mobile phones is not permitted within the Playhouse grounds. Please ensure that you do not use your phone whilst dropping off and collecting your children from the OOSC. This is a Safeguarding issue and all parents and carers must adhere to the Playhouse Policy. Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter.
Photo’s for Rising Five’s – Tempest will be calling into the Playhouse on Wednesday 25th May between 1.30pm – 2.30pm to take photographs of those children who will be leaving us this year. If your child is not usually in the Playhouse on a Wednesday afternoon, please feel free to bring them in to join in this photo shoot!
