Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ’s’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’s’!

Colour of the Week – Our next colour is brown! Please can your child bring in a brown item to share with us at Circle time!

Playhouse Activities This Week – This was our last week of term! We’ve been busy planting sunflowers, making purple collages and we’ve completed some vegetable painting! We had a really exciting day on Wednesday with an unexpected visit from Willie Franks and his JCB. The children were really excited to see Willie manoeuvre his JCB in the Playhouse garden and drop off a huge bucket of compost for the Playhouse garden. Later in the day, the Rising Five’s had their photo’s taken.

Playhouse Activities Next Session & Next Term – When we return after the holidays, on Thursday we will have a Tea Party to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday and hopefully we can hold this outside in the sun! This term we will look at Nursery Rhymes and we’ll be following the Stick Man story ready for our trip in July. We’ve achieved our Bronze Eco badge for the Eco Schools initiative – we now have the Bug hotel and we’ve really improved our Wildlife area. The children have also been doing their Wake Up – warm up in the mornings! Our Eco Committee, your children, will be meeting again in June to plan for our Silver Badge.

Reminder – Invoices Due – Just a reminder that the second instalment of your child’s invoices are due at the beginning of June. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Sam.

Sports Day – This is a fun & non-competitive Sports Day for the Playhouse and is being held on 24th June from 9.30am – 10.00am with tea and cakes being served after the main event!

Hot Lunches – Please find attached a new Booking form for next term’s hot lunches. Please don’t forget that all lunches must be booked and paid for in advance, on a Monday morning at the very latest! Thank you.

Thank you – A very ‘Big Thank you’ this week to Willie Franks, one of our local farmers who has kindly donated lots of compost for the Playhouse garden. We should see some fantastic results for our flowers and vegetables!

Have a lovely Half Term and we open again on Monday 6th June 2016!

Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
