Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session will be ‘o’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’o’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is green! Please can your child bring in a green item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We’ve had a very busy week! We’ve enjoyed lots of spring activities and have been measuring. We’ve also played in the mud kitchen and had lots of fun with water play. We’ve really made the most of the sunshine this week and have made a start on our bug hotel. The tadpoles have started to grow… we still have some frog spawn and they are quickly emerging into tadpoles. Please encourage your children to take a look!
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Our topics this term are Spring and Road Safety! Next week we’ll be making our bug hotel! Please take a look at the picture below and please bring in anything to help your child with this activity! It’s the Queen’s Birthday so we’ll be making crowns but we’ll wait for the official birthday in June before we have our own Street Party! On Wednesday we have a visit from the Library Bus! We’ll be planting seeds and will celebrate Earth Day on Friday. We will also continue with our Spring activities!
Bug Hotel – Can you help provide any resources?
Bags2School – Just a reminder that if you are having a Spring Clean, please fill the Bags2School bag and return it to John Clare Primary by the 20th April 2016. Unfortunately, we do not have any storage space here at the Playhouse so please take then to the school.
A big Thank you – We have a few ‘Thank you’s’ this week!! To: Chris Plant for the donation of building materials for a small project we are currently working on. And to you all – You raised a fantastic £113.90 for Sports Relief! Well done!
Lost Property – Finn Anderson from the Out of School Club has lost two coats this week. Please can you check at home just to make sure one hasn’t slipped home with your child’s belongings. Many thanks.
