Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!
Letter & Sound of the Week – Our chosen letter after half term will be ‘OA’. Please can your child bring in an item which has an ’OA’.
Colour of the Week – Our next colour is dark blue! Please can your child bring in a dark blue item to share with us at Circle time!
Playhouse Activities This Week – We have had a very busy week this week, on Tuesday we celebrated Pancake Day with yummy pancake snacks! On Wednesday we visited the Temple and we talked about being a Hindu. We had lots of fun celebrating Chinese New Year and looked at some Chinese clothes! We also had a look at caring for our teeth!
Playhouse Activities After half term – Here are a few dates for your diary:
23rd & 26th February – Stay & Play, please talk to a member of the team
1st March – Photo’s for the Playhouse children will be between 1.30pm and 2.45pm.
Thursday 3rd March – World Book Day – we are going to recreate the story ‘We are going on a Bear Hunt’. We would love your child to dress up as a bear or one of the characters from this story!
25th May – Photo’s for the Rising Five’s only will be between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Sainsbury’s vouchers – Please can you save any Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers, we are now collecting!
My Nametags – It’s really important for you to label your child’s belongings to stop your child losing them and it helps us reunite lost and forgotten property. By using ‘My Nametags’ you can also help us raise a bit of money for the Playhouse. Your child can be involved by chossing their own designs too! Please quote code 14407. Thank you.
Eco Schools – We have joined the Eco Schools and are working towards our Bronze Badge. Some of your children have volunteered to be Eco Leaders and are already busy looking after our Playhouse environment. Next term we’ll be building on our progress and want to achieve our Bronze badge. Freddie the Teddy has become an Eco Leader and will be coming home with your child. He’ll also bring home some books and a game on recycling. Have fun!
