Dear Parents / Carers
COVID – If your child or a family member tests positive for COVID via an LFD or PCR, please can you let us know. We are seeing coughs and colds turning positive COVID too; if your child is unwell or showing any signs of a new cough or cold, please be mindful that it could be COVID, test if you wish and keep them at home. Thank you for your help!
Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have planted our sunflower seeds. We would love to know how they are growing so please keep us updated! We have created a Gruffalo crumble and ice creams, which the children have loved.
Today, we are off to see the Gruffalo at the theatre, we will let you know next week how we got on! The children have been so excited for our trip, especially as we are going on a bus!
Forest School – In Forest School this week we looked at all the signs of spring. Buds, flowers, insects, and our resident baby robins! We used elder sticks to make beads and pushed the soft middle out. We talked about size and the different textures. The children then threaded the beads onto ribbon to make decorations, bracelets, and necklaces. They sat and watched the mummy and daddy robins feed their babies in our Forest School shed.
Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we are looking at healthy foods and caring for our teeth. We will be making fruit kebabs and we will be building on our knife skills. We will be creating a caterpillar life cycle and we will be reading the Very Hungry Caterpillar story.
