Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – This week we had a circus skills week in the OOSC. The children had a go using hula hoops, juggling, balancing, acrobatics and using a Diablo. The children created an obstacle course and had fun balancing on it and trying not to fall off. We also had circus colouring sheets, the children designed their own clown ties and enjoyed eating clown decorated biscuits. We made paper acrobats using weight and gravity to keep them upright. Bracelet making and the pool table also continue to be popular this week.
Next Week – Next week we will be having lots of Halloween fun with crafts and baking. On Thursday we will be having a pyjama party and a movie; please bring in your pyjamas or a change of clothes.
Halloween Party – If your child attends John Clare Primary and is normally booked into the OOSC on a Friday, please let us know if they will be attending the Halloween Party on Friday 22nd October 2021. If your child’s costume requires face make up to be applied, your son/daughter will need to apply the makeup themselves; we are unable to apply it for them. Halloween face make up must be used for your child only and must not be shared amongst friends.
Nearly New Sale – Rachel Higginbotham and Alexa Hall are holding a Nearly New Sale, raising money for our Breakfast & Out of school clubs. Please take a look at their poster for further information … you can be a seller, a volunteer or just pop in to see what’s on sale.
