Dear Parents / Carers
This Week – We had a Polish week for our Around the World theme in OOSC this week. We tried pierogi and polish sausage for our snack and had a go at making a simplified version of Obwarzanek Krakowski, this is a type of Polish pretzel. We saw examples of Polish ceramics and had a go at designing our own. We started some paper mâché to make a doll. There are some salt mines in Poland so we tried making our own crystals. Throughout the week we have also had word searches, beading and cross-stitching taking place. The pool table has been very popular.
Next Week – Next week we will be visiting Spain in our around the world theme. We will be making pasta sauce and sampling Spanish snacks.
