Helpston Playhouse – Weekly Update 24th September 2021

By September 24, 2021 Uncategorized No Comments

Dear Parents / Carers

Playhouse Activities This Week – We had a beautiful walk on Monday picking conkers, we did really well crossing the road and observing all the different environmental sounds. There have been some amazing structures built this week. Charlie worked very hard on building his house. There have been some lovely smells made by the children making shortbread. The children have added more spikes to our hedgehog using the woodwork tools, hammering nails into the top.

Forest School – In Forest school this week we went on a walk to hunt for conkers. We also read Leafman and created our own leaf people using natural resources that we found on our walk and in our garden.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will carry on with the shortbread to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to make some. We will be Leaf printing and making Autumn crowns.

Home activity – Each week we are going to share a new activity for you to carry out with your child. This week is called ‘Living is learning-washing the dishes’. All the information you need will be on Tapestry so please take a look and have fun!!  We would love to hear about your experiences, please update Tapestry, your child’s keyworker or a member of staff, it would be lovely to hear all about it.

If you access Tapestry on a mobile device, you may not see all the available information, please use a laptop and access via the website browser.
