Helpston Playhouse – Weekly Update 17th September 2021

By September 17, 2021 Uncategorized No Comments

Dear Parents / Carers

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have planted sprouts, cabbages, and lettuce in our vegetable beds. Some fabulous sandwiches have been made, showing great skill and independence. The children have been reading the Colour Monster and have been learning about emotions and how they make us feel.

Forest School – In Forest School this week we also read The Colour Monster and explored colours and feelings. The children explored colour mixing while painting the branches. They made faces in mirrors to show their emotions to each other; mostly funny faces to make each other laugh. The children used the conkers, stones, and sticks to make a copy of their faces.

Playhouse Activities Next Week – Next week we will be making shortbread biscuits, we’ll do some woodwork, and we will be adding to our colour monster display.

Colder weather & illnesses – As the weather changes, there will be more bugs, coughs, and colds around. If your child is not well, please keep him/her at home until fully recovered. This will really help reduce the spread of germs. Thank you. As it’s getting colder, please bring in warmer clothing (coat, hat, gloves, scarf) for your child as we will continue to enjoy the outdoors.

Committee Update – AGM – Please find attached the Agenda for our AGM, we hope to see you there!

COVID – Please find attached a COVID-19 Guidance for Parents/Carers for your information.

Any help? –
Please do not hesitate to speak to staff if you have any concerns or would just like a catch up, we are always available.

Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
