Dear Parents / Carers

Thank you so much for letting us take care of your children, it’s been a pleasure and always an honour! We hope you all have a lovely summer holiday, we return to the Playhouse on Monday 6th September 2021 for our Autumn Term.

EYFS 2021 – The Government has devised new guidance on how children develop in early years. The changes have been brought in to close the gap for disadvantaged children. This will enable us to spend more quality time with the children, enrich their experiences and less focus on written observations. You may see less on Tapestry as this evolves. Our focus being on the children’s experiences and wellbeing.

As practitioners we are really excited about the changes as it gives us more opportunities to have quality time and interactions with less focus on putting children in developmental age brackets.

50 things to do in Peterborough & Cambridgeshire – Peterborough City Council has created a fantastic app which you can download. It’s 50 Things to do before 5. There are some wonderful ideas, things that we all take for granted but are so important. Some of the simplest things are the most precious memories.

  • if you have any symptoms of coronavirus, however mild, that you should isolate (along with all members of your household) and access a PCR test at a local testing facility;
  • if you or any member of your family has been identified as a close contact of someone who has tested positive, you should also book a PCR test and isolate until results are received (if negative) or for the period determined by Track and Trace.
  • You must tell us if you, a member of your family or your child is being tested or has been tested using a PCR test. We also need to know the outcome of the result.
