Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘d’! Please can your child bring in an item which has a ‘d’.

Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘aeroplane’.

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have been sewing. We have also looked at physical development; we have learnt about why sleep is so important to us. We made our own shop which was fantastic! We also had a hairdresser for our role play. We had water play and looked at quantities, we talked about caring for our teeth and the dentist, the children practised cleaning their teeth using our ‘big mouth’! We’ve been doing some woodwork and this morning we were exploring the ice in the garden.

Forest School This Week This week Amanda has been First Aid training so we’ll catch up on Forest school next week.

Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will be starting our Christmas crafts, we’ll go on number hunts and we’ll have a sound walk around the John Clare playing field. We will also make cheese straws.

Communication Books – Please can you make sure that we have your child’s Communication Book for every session. We would like to change library books and it would be great to have them updated. Thank you.

Playhouse Xmas Book Party – Our Book Party ends on Friday 6th December. This is your last chance to grab some amazing Christmas book bargains Special Offers from as little as £1.00 … https://book-parties.scholastic.co.uk/party/helpston-playhouse
