Dear Parents / Carers

This Week in the OOSC – This week we have carried out some great first aid! The children worked in teams to asses and treat patients. They used bandages to fix broken arms and legs. They are now experts at making slings! The children also made some fantastic models using our construction resources.

Next Sessions in the OOSC – Next week we will have a week of forest crafts. We will be leaf painting and leaf threading. We will carry out bark rubbings and we’ll be cooking round the campfire!

Just a reminder – Change of Circumstances – Just a polite reminder and an update for our new parents to the Breakfast & OOSC … If you child has a session booked in the Early Bird, Breakfast Club or the OOSC and they won’t be attending, please can you let us know. This is to ensure we comply with our safeguarding procedures and ensures we know the whereabouts of your child when circumstances change. Sam is in the office on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00am – 3.00pm (2.15pm on a Friday) and you can drop her an email. If it’s last minute or on a Tuesday and Thursday it is always best to give us a call on 01733 253243 and speak to a member of staff. Thank you.

Just a reminder – John Clare Staff Car Park – Don’t forget to inform all parties that drop off and pick up your child that there are restrictions in using the John Clare staff car park. If you are unsure of these rules, please let us know. Thank you.

Junk Modelling – Please can you bring in any clean recycling for our junk modelling. Thank you.

Book Party – Just a reminder to take a look, there are some great books for Christmas!

Dates for your Diaries – More dates will follow soon.
8th December – Wreath Making – Sunday afternoon 2.00m – 5.00pm
8th February – Quiz & Disco
29th March – Sunday – Easter Fayre
26th June Friday – Family Event

Recycling Crisp Packets – We will be thinking about our environment so please can you save up your crisp packets as we will be collecting them. When we have a sufficient amount we will send them onto the council for recycling. Crisp packets cannot be recycled directly into your bins at the moment by Peterborough City Council but we have identified a way to recycle these for you.

Have a lovely weekend!
Kind regards
The Playhouse Team
