Dear Parents / Carers

Please find below this week’s Weekly Update!

Letter of the Week – Our chosen letter for our next session is ‘n’! Please can your child bring in an item which has an ‘n’.

Makaton – Our chosen sign will be ‘car’.

Playhouse Activities This Week – This week we have had a campfire, a builder’s yard and a shop. We’ve been fishing and have been catching number balls. We’ve been balloon painting which was very funny as we kept losing the ball.

Forest School This Week Today we read a story about sharing. We went on a texture hunt, we looked for smooth and bumpy objects and then did some bark rubbing. The children spotted a frog in the fire pit, a great link to our story. We also made playdough and used conkers, pine cones and acorn cups to make patterns.

Playhouse Activities Next Session – Next week we will be creating sandwiches. We will also hold our Forest school on a Wednesday and Friday now that our children have settled in.

Winter WonderlandIf you have any of the following that you no longer require, please feel free to bring them in for our Winter Wonderland – white sheets, xmas decorations, xmas lights. Thank you.

Junk Modelling – Please can you bring in any clean recycling for our junk modelling – the children love making things and we are getting through our stocks very quickly. Don’t forget to give us your empty crisp packets so that we can recycle them for you.

Playhouse Clothes – If we have lent you any clothes for your child, please can you return them … we are down to our last two pairs of pants & we don’t have enough for our children if they have any accidents.

Thank You – A big ‘Thank you’ for the Williams family who have kindly donated ‘Twister’.

Tax Free Childcare Payments – If you pay your invoice by BACS, it might be worth you taking a look at the HMRC website to see if you qualify for Tax Free Childcare payments, for every for very £8.00 you put in the Government pays in £2.00 .. you then instruct HMRC to pay us .. more of our parents have started using this! Try the website to see if you qualify ….. https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

Every Mind Matters – Don’t forget it’s Mental Health Week. For more information, please visit https://www.nhs.uk/oneyou/every-mind-matters/

Blind Cord Safety – Blind cords can be lethal and are silent killers of babies and young children in our home. Please take a look at this website for great tips on safety and how you can prevent these accidents in your home:  www.capt.org.uk/blind-cords
