Dear Parents / Carers
This Week in the OOSC – This week was Wimbledon week. We enjoyed playing outside in the garden with our new swingball and tennis sets. We have also watched some tennis on the television. Our chicks have continued to receive lots of cuddles and attention. On Thursday we had a lovely cream tea in the garden with dainty sandwiches & scones.
Next Sessions in the OOSC – Next week we will be having a week of water play and dough activities. This will include moon sand, cloud dough and play dough and we’ll be experimenting with different variations.
Evening snacks – Here are a sample of the snacks available: Toasted sandwiches / pasta with tuna & sweetcorn or tomato sauce / Wraps with tuna, cheese or eggs / Hot dogs / cheese & crackers / alpha bites & spaghetti hoops / fish fingers & beans / beans on toast / crumpets
New Member of Staff – We are pleased to announce that Yvonne Burgess will be joining us in September. You may see her popping in and out of the Playhouse over the next few weeks. Children attending John Clare will know Yvonne as she sometimes helps during their lunchtimes!
Outdoor Refurbishment – We are also pleased to announce that during the Summer holidays we will be having some exciting work completed in our outdoor area … the drainage issues will be sorted and there will be more paved areas. We’re investing in our Forest school too .. there will be lovely picket fenced area specifically for the forest school and Amanda will be working with the OOSC from September so that they can participate in these activities too! And there’ll be no more mud!!
